The Metric System

Sixth Grade:
Write 4-6 sentences describing the five characters of a scientist.

Seventh Grade:
Write 4-6 sentences detailing the difference between an activity and an experiment in Science.

Eighth Grade
Write 4-6 sentences detailing the benefits and drawbacks of using the metric system.

Step 2

Create a Voki
If you are under 13 years old, you will not need a Voki account for this. Instead, go to the Voki site and click on create. Be aware that any unfinished work will not be saved.

Step 3

Customize Your Voki and Give it a Voice
Next you will need to record the message you have prepared.

Step 4

Publishing Your Voki on your Wiki or Blog
When you are finished you'll need to Publish Your Voki and then the fun begins. Now you can share your voki with others. We are going to copy the HTML code and put in on our wiki page we have made.

Step 5

Click Publish

If you are a sixth or seventh grader just say No Thanks when it asks you if you want to sign up for a Voki Account.

1. Choose to Embed your code in Other (Java Script)
2. Choose the Large Size (300 x 400)
3. Click the Get Code Button and copy the code See the image below:

Step 6

Add code to your wiki page
  • On the wiki select the "Widget" button. (This looks like a little television.)
  • Choose Other HTML at the bottom of the list.
  • Paste the code into the window.
  • Click Save
